We are currently offering
hands-on workshops in Victoria & Queensland to any teachers who would like to get some skills based training in Digital Portfolio creation.
Please take a minute to
read what past participants have said about our workshops.
How does it work?First we need a
group of interested schools\Educators who would like to attend a session.
Next we need a venue (typically a small computer lab at a school)
We then set a date and invite teachers from within the region.
Who should attend?
We are getting quite a range of people coming to our sessions, and we
endeavour to keep the information fresh and relevant to all
participants.
The main groups are....
- Prep Teachers (State, Catholic & Ind)
- Primary Teachers (State, Catholic & Ind)
- Educators looking for tools to support the National Curriculum
- Childcare workers
- Tertiary Students (Early Childhood & Primary)
- University Lecturers
What will I learn & what is the cost?Well, we are a company who create some fantastic tools for teachers, so much of what you will learn will focus on our products (FolioMaker & ClassMon). About 40% of a session will be spent on more general skills such as file management, video compression, image and sound management as well as other tools such as Picasa.
The cost per person will depend on the size of the group. For a group of 20 people the cost would be $50 per person.
What if just MY school would like a session?Yes, we do offer single school training. The cost is $275 for a 1.5 hour session plus travel expenses. We are located in Blackburn, Victoria. We fly economy class!

At the end of the day teachers will have all the skills & tools
needed to....
Manage their class
o Use one simple program to manage and track each student in
your class
Manage worksamples
o Learn to use tools that will help you manage digital
content (Picasa, Video converters, File management...)
Record observations
o Record your observations and input your worksamples with
just a few clicks
Publish learning records
o Publish all your student learning records with a single
click
Produce student portfolios
o Produce beautifully formatted digital portfolios with NO
extra work
All participants will also receive a free 2009 ClassMon license and be
set up to create ELR's and Folios for this year. Participants are
welcome (encouraged) to bring their own PC laptop so that we can get
you up and running on your own machine.
