Version - 1.0.1.0 (released Aug 3rd 2009)
(note : 1.0.0.9 update has been included in this 1.0.1.0 release)

Enhancements in this version :
  1. Save Button
In the Observation screen the “Next” button has been renamed “Save/Next” so that it is clear that your observation will be saved when you move to the next tab.

  1. Intro
When returning to the Intro setup screen any existing links will “hold” so that you can edit them.

  2. Video/Audio
We have added an inbuilt player for image, video and audio files so ClassMon no longer needs to launch other players. It is much faster and more user friendly.

  3. Multiple Observation
Multiple Observation now works the same way as a normal observation. It will automatically pull the rubric comment and insert each student's name. There is also an option to add a customised comment as well as the ability to edit individual student comments after the observation has been applied.

  4. Report Formatting
When printing Learning Records each page begins with a new Learning Statement.
This means that a page will no longer begin half way through an observation.

  5. Updated Dictionary
We have updated the Australian dictionary so your "colours" will now be correct!

  6. Large File Message
You will now receive a message when trying to add worksamples with filesizes larger than 20mb. The aim is to educate users about the importance of compressing files before adding them to portfolios.

For an introduction to this new feature please view the quickstart video - http://www.foliosinternational.com/Walks/CM/slideshow/Slideshow.htm

  2. With this update we have also introduced automatic image resizing and compression. As you add images to ClassMon (from hi- resolution sources such as scanners and digital cameras) ClassMon will now auto compress them to save space.

Version - 1.0.0.6 (released April 9th 2009)

This is a very important update as it allows the import/export of individual rubrics. You can now select a single rubric and export it as a file. You can then send this (small) file to another user who can import it into their version of ClassMon. They can then associate this new rubric with any number of students.
For example, if you have created a particular rubric for a unique student type (maybe a special needs student) then you can send this rubric to other ClassMon users.

Over the coming weeks we plan to make various rubrics available on our website that teachers can download and use. We also hope to soon have a small rubric library where ClassMon users can submit their own rubrics for others to use.
It would be wonderful to have rubrics available for curriculum such as C&K's Building Waterfalls or the Learning Stories curriculum from NZ.
We are currently working on a more detailed QLD Catholic version as well as Year 1 and 2 for Queensland schools.

Version - 1.0.0.5 (released March 20th 2009)

Switchable Publishing Modes
This update includes a new option that allows users to switch between 2 modes...
  1. Show ALL observations in Learning Records and portfolios
  2. Only show LATEST observations in Learning Records and portfolios
You can switch between these modes at any time by accessing "Settings>School"

Then use the checkboxes to select your mode...

We have also added some Level one outcomes to the default rubric which will be available for any new users added to ClassMon.

Version - 1.0.0.4

Multiple Comments
Users can now add up to 6 comments per Possible Phase of Learning.
When making an observation these comments are made available by clicking the "More Comments" button on the observation tab.

Version 1.0.0.3

Multipage reports
You can now print single/multiple/All student reports with one click. Each report will start on a new page.

Class change without logging out
There is a new class selector drop-down so a teacher can quickly switch between classes without having to log out.

A legend has been added to published reports.

Version 1.0.0.2

Intro Maker

You can now add student images that will appear in the animated intro.
You can also add your own music track.
